Meet Diane
Registered Psychotherapist | Certified Brainspotting Therapist
Hello everyone, my name is Diane. I have over ten years of experience working in healthcare research including developing programs for under-serviced and marginalized populations. Hearing about their struggles, I have always been interested in learning about people’s life stories.
As a mother of three children (including twins), I also understand the challenges of parenting and finding ways to connect with our loved ones and ourselves.
My passion is to help clients feel empowered to achieve their goals and to find more meaning and fulfilment in their lives. I utilize various therapies including trauma-informed care, Brainspotting therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. In addition, I am committed to anti-oppressive, relational and affirming practices. I believe in a client-centred approach, and hold a non-judgmental, welcoming, safe space for clients to share their challenges with me.

Values and Approach
I collaborate with clients to find an approach that suits them best. They are the experts in their own lives, and I help them recognize their strengths and empower themselves. I create a safe space for clients and acknowledge their diverse experiences, promoting their ability to take control of their lives. My values as a professional include being sensitive to trauma, standing against oppression, building strong relationships, and being culturally humble. I continuously examine my own biases, power, and privilege and approach my clients with understanding, curiosity, and compassion.
Your healing matters. I look forward to joining you on your journey.
